Excellent Wildlife Draw + Fantastic Cover Source

Chickasaw Plum is one of the most versatile wildlife trees you can plant. Not only do deer love the sweet fruit, but these plums also form thickets that provide excellent cover and bedding areas. This makes them one of the few trees that offer both food and habitat value in the same planting.
Plums ripen in late summer to early fall, bridging the gap between summer food sources and the acorn drop. This makes them a powerful attractant during a critical time leading up to hunting season. Deer, turkey, quail, and many other wildlife species feed heavily on the fruit.
If your goal is to improve habitat diversity and keep deer on your property, Chickasaw Plums are a must. Their dense, shrubby growth habit also benefits upland birds and small game, creating a more balanced ecosystem.
These plums are extremely adaptable, tolerant of a wide range of soils, and produce reliable crops each year. They’re also excellent pollinator plants, providing early spring blooms that support bees and beneficial insects.
You must protect your trees with one of our Tree Tubes to be covered under our Survival Guarantee. Please read the full details here.
